About the artwork
Okahu Bay Abstract comes from a long line of a well-known collection Okahu Boats. Stimulation of shapes and reflections of the ships and boats of big old rustic vessels in Taranaki and fishing boats in the Okahu Bay area.
The shadows of the bow of the boat casts a shadowlike path toward the observer. The reflection pathway pulls the observer inward toward the base of the boat, creating an internal pathway of inner contemplation as one studies the subject matter.
Okahu Boats Abstract is reflective in its geometric shapes and additionally for the observer contemplating the abstract in its effectiveness.
Painted Year 2014. In working frame.
